>>Buveur D'Air touched no bigger than 7.6 in running on Betfair on his way to victory in the Stan James Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham. The 5-1 chance was always travelling powerfully and stormed away from 16-1 second My Tent Or Yours, who was matched at no shorter than 9.

Disappointing 2-1 favourite Yanworth was backed to a low of 2.4, but faded badly to finish unplaced after being matched at a low of 1.33 in the place market.

>>Altior appeared to have a race on his hands when Charbel kicked on from the front in the Racing Post Arkle and traded at a high of 1.74 before Charbel fell heavily at the second-last. The fact Charbel was trading at 2.54 to beat the 1-4 favourite suggests in-running punters were far from certain Altior would have won.
