Sensation provides upset under Coleman

There were several horses in contention for in-running punters to take their pick from with two left to jump in the 2m7f handicap hurdle at Exeter, but not many sided with Desert Sensation.

Richard Newland's four-year-old appeared to face an impossible task from off the pace and hit 1,000, but grabbed hold of the bridle and got there late under Aidan Coleman to defeat What A Diva (1.31) and Precious Ground (1.04).

Bacardys was a very classy bumper performer, and looked booked to make a winning debut over hurdles for Willie Mullins at Cork. However, he tipped up at the third-last with the race at his mercy, having been traded at 1.1. The pain for punters did not stop there, as Dr Mikey (1.08), was then grabbed late by Sunni May, who reached a high of 13.
