Last term, when Fast Company stood at Overbury Stud at just £4,000, he was represented by Jet Setting, who took the scalp of champion Minding to land the Irish 1,000 Guineas. Now, standing at Kildangan Stud at the far from prohibitive price of €7,000, he has got the 2017 season off to a flyer with wide-margin Listed race winner Downforce.

For a sire at the cheaper end of the spectrum, Fast Company delivers his fair share of big-race success.

Fast Company made only three starts in his own racing career, winning a Salisbury maiden by three lengths from the useful Redolent and the Acomb Stakes by three and a half lengths, before splitting the outstanding pair New Approach and Raven's Pass when second in the Dewhurst.
