A Yeats half-brother to last month's Mares' Hurdle winner Roksana headlines a select catalogue of 264 stores to be offered at the one-day Goffs UK Spring Store Sale on Tuesday, May 21, where he will be offered as lot 76 by Oak Tree Farm.

Roksana, who was left in the lead at Cheltenham after Benie Des Dieux fell at the last, again showed her class when a close second to If The Cap Fits in the Grade 1 Stayers Hurdle at Aintree on Saturday.

If The Cap Fits is a graduate of the 2015 Spring Store Sale, when he was purchased by Kevin Ross for £30,000.

A curious lot this year is Jimmy Chou Pecos AA, an Anglo-Arabian son of Walk In The Park who will be offered by Moanmore Stables as lot 28.

Jimmy Chou Pecos is a full-brother to the Willie Mullins-trained K'Chou Du Pecos, who was bought by Aiden Murphy for €140,000 at the 2017 stores sales and who went on to take fourth in a competitive Leopardstown bumper in December in the colours of Sue Magnier.

Among the other eye-catching lots are:

  • Lot 32, a Cokoriko half-sister to the dual Cheltenham Festival winner Un Temps Pour Tout, offered by Lakefield Farm
  • 63, a Doyen full-brother to the Group 2 winner Valdez, from Glenwood Stud
  • 102, a So You Think half-brother to the Hatton's Grace Hurdle winner Oscar Dan Dan, consigned by Gaynestown Stud
  • 113, a Milan half-brother to Christmas and Hatton's Grace Hurdle winner Lieutenant Colonel, offered by Battlefield Stud

Goffs UK managing director Tony Williams said: "We've seen a huge number of stores this year and demand to be placed in the sale has been extremely high. As a result, we've had to be very selective to distil the nominations down into a concise one-day catalogue and we are very happy with our 2019 offering.

"The list of highlights clearly illustrates plenty of well-bred stores which bodes well for the opening day of the Spring Sale and having horses such as If The Cap Fits winning at the Grand National festival over the weekend is a timely reminder as to the class that can be found at this sale.

"Immediately following the Spring Store Sale is the two-day Spring Horses In Training and Point-To-Point Sale which sold horses for up to £280,000 last year."

The Doncaster Spring Store Sale kicks off at 10am on Tuesday, May 21.
