Italian breeders have a new son of Dubawi to choose from when compiling their mating plans with Robiano set to stand at San Paolo Agri Stud near Rome.

Robiano was bought by Alain de Royer-Dupre for €350,000 as a yearling from Arqana and he won a maiden as a three-year-old for a partnership between San Paolo and his breeders Haras de la Perelle.

He went on to compete at conditions level before transferring to Ottavio di Paolo and running without much luck in Italy.

More significantly, Robiano is out of Perelle's fantastic mare Reggane, who was second in the 2009 Coronation Stakes and won the following year's EP Taylor Stakes.

Reggane has produced seven foals to date, the youngest of which is a Siyouni colt named Rancon Royal, now registered with Stephane Wattel.

Robiano doubles the stud's roster as he joins the smart Italian sprinter St Paul House on the books. He is being offered at a fee of €1,000 but there are further enticements for owners of black-type mares.
