Top-class mares feature in rearranged Goffs UK January Sale entries
La Bague Au Roi and Eglantine Du Seuil are among the eyecatching names
Dual Grade 1-winning chaser La Bague Au Roi and Cheltenham Festival scorer Eglantine Du Seuil feature among a strong catalogue for the Horses in Training and NH Breeding Stock sections of Goffs UK's January Sale.
The auction, which will take place on January 26 and be held online, not only includes La Bague Au Roi - whose top-level successes came in the Kauto Star Novices' Chase and Flogas Novice Chase for Warren Greatrex - but also a number of Sullivan Bloodstock-owned mares including 2019 Mares' Novices' Hurdle victress Eglantine Du Seuil and dual Grade 3-winning hurdler Stormy Island.
The pair, who were switched to Paul Nicholls' yard from Willie Mullins last October, could be joined by the fellow Sullivan-owned Cut The Mustard, a five-time winner under rules and second in the Grade 2 Irish EBF Mares Novice Chase at Thurles last January.
Danse Idol, a dual winner over hurdles and runner-up in the Grade 2 Jane Seymour Mares' Novices' Hurdle at Sandown in February, is another eyecatching entry alongside A Capella Lido, a half-sister to Grade 1 scorer Valseur Lido, and Madam Fontaine, a half-sister to the Grade 1 winners All Yours and Lac Fontana.
As a result of lockdown imposed by the British and Irish governments, Goffs will hold the January Sale in two sections. The horses in training and mares will be sold online, while the foals will be offered at the Doncaster Sales Complex on February 17.
The online catalogue for the former will be available to view from January 12, while printed copies can be mailed from January 26.
