Speightstown's son Wusool takes up stud duties at Lilling Hall Farm
Group 3-winning miler is out of French Guineas heroine Torrestrella
Wusool - a Group 3-winning miler by Speightstown out of the French Guineas heroine Torrestrella - will take up stud duties at Gary Sanderson's Lilling Hall Farm for the 2020 breeding season.
"He's 16.2 hands high and a fine stamp of a horse," said Sanderson. "He's a big, powerful horse with plenty of bone."
was trained by Francois Rohaut and raced seven times over a mile in France, winning four races including the Group 3 Prix Paul du Moussac at Chantilly, and also ran fourth to Intellogent in the Prix Jean Prat at Deauville.
The Shadwell homebred is one of three black-type performers out of the Orpen mare Torrestrella. Wusool's sister Farmah landed a Group 3 sprint in Italy and a Listed sprint in France, while their Dynaformer half-brother Intilaaq was successful in the Group 3 Rose of Lancaster Stakes at Haydock.
The five-year-old is the first son of his sire to stand in Britain and will command a fee of £1,500.
Sanderson also issued an update in relation to Tha'ir, a son of New Approach who previously held court at Lilling Hall Farm.
The Champagne Stakes third suffered from fertility issues in his sole season at Lilling Hall in 2017, but managed to sire a colt and filly.
Greenstead Hall Racing have a colt out of the dual winner Suzi's A Class Act while Sanderson, who holds a trainer's licence, trains the filly out of his previous charge Pride Of The Oaks and said he expects her to show her best form as a three-year-old.
