Royal Lytham heads to Clongiffen Stud for stallion career

Royal Lytham, among the highest achievers from the first crop of Gleneagles, will stand under the Irish Emerald Stud banner in 2021 at Robert Honner's Clongiffen Stud in County Meath.
One of two Group 2 winners for Gleneagles so far, Royal Lytham reached a Racing Post Rating of 11 and took the July Stakes at Newmarket as a two-year-old before chasing home Siskin in the Keeneland Phoenix Stakes.
The colt ran three more times for Aidan O'Brien and Coolmore in 2020 and will begin at a fee of €4,000.
Bought by MV Magnier for €180,000 from breeders Logis Saint Germain at Arqana in 2018, Royal Lytham is out of Group-placed Anabaa mare Gotlandia.
