Palace Pier, Space Blues and Victor Ludorum all confirmed to have mares in foal
The trio stand at Darley's studs in Britain, Ireland and France
Darley's three new recruits to the stallion ranks, champion miler Palace Pier, Breeders' Cup Mile winner Space Blues and French Classic hero Victor Ludorum, have all had their first mares scanned in foal.
The trio, who stand at Dalham Hall, Kildangan Stud and Haras du Logis respectively, have proven popular in their first seasons and are fully booked.
Palace Pier was crowned world champion miler after a glittering career that saw him win five Group 1s, including the St James's Palace Stakes, two Prix Jacques le Marois and the Queen Anne Stakes. He was the first horse in 25 years to win the French mile showpiece back to back.
The son of Kingman stands his first season for £55,000.
Space Blues, a son of the operation's flagship sire Dubawi, won last year's Breeders' Cup Mile and also landed the Prix de la Foret and Prix Maurice de Gheest in a durable and consistent career for Charlie Appleby. He has been introduced at a fee of €17,500.
The trio is completed by Victor Ludorum, a son of Darley's late great sire Shamardal and the winner of the Poule d'Essai des Poulains and Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere from five career successes on the track.
He went unbeaten during his juvenile campaign and also finished third in the Prix du Jockey Club to Mishriff.
His fee has been set at €15,000 this term.
