Kodiac newcomer out to maintain the run of in-form King Power Racing
Love Love was a 600,000gns purchase at Tattersalls
King Power Racing's performance on the racecourse has been the emerging story of this Flat season so far and the ownership unleashes another expensive prospect in the opening race at Salisbury on Sunday.
The family of Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha have maintained the thoroughbred interest of the late Thai billionaire and chairman of Leicester City, with his blue and white silks being represented with credit virtually as soon as the turf campaign began.
Bangkok did his Investec Derby claims no harm at all in Friday’s Classic Trial, with the first real King Power marquee horse, Beat The Bank, continuing his fine record by making it a Sandown Group race double in the bet365 Mile.
Love Love could be a filly capable of plenty more this season, judged upon her background from a most current family. When offered by Norris Bloodstock at Tattersalls Book 1, she became the joint-dearest offspring of Kodiac to go through the ring during 2018 when SackvilleDonald pounced for 600,000gns.
Love Love, who is in the care of Richard Hannon and goes in the Byerley Stud Fillies' Conditions Stakes, is the first foal of the Kheleyf mare Perfect Blessings, a Doncaster maiden winner for Clive Cox who was twice Listed-placed over six furlongs.
More significantly she is a half-sister to Polygreen, a mare who was useful herself on the track and has not only thrown Prix Maurice de Gheest winner Polydream but also Big Brothers Pride, who took the Group 3 Prix Sigy in handsome style a fortnight ago.
Love Love’s chief rival looks to be the already-seen Exclusively, a sharply-bred daughter of Showcasing and Kodiac mare Sweet Cecily, who was off the mark at the first time of asking for Archie Watson at Redcar but must concede a penalty to the field.
Good Vibes (Due Diligence) made a promising debut behind the impressive Chasing Dreams at the Craven meeting and is another who could easily figure.
