Perfect start for Frankel's half-sister Joyeuse as a broodmare
Three-year-old Shamardal filly Jubiloso makes a good impression on debut
Jubiloso, a 'niece' of unbeaten dual world champion Frankel, was an impressive winner on her racecourse debut on Thursday.
The three-year-old filly, trained by Sir Michael Stoute for owner-breeder Khalid Abdullah, needed a little encouragement from jockey Ryan Moore to get the hang of things early in the six-furlong maiden at Chelmsford.
But she finished strongly on the rail under hands and heels riding to record a two and three-quarter length victory over Dominus (by Zoffany) and Hero Hero (No Nay Never), colts who came into the contest on the back of runner-up efforts.

Jubiloso is by Kildangan Stud stalwart Shamardal and is the first foal out of Joyeuse, an Oasis Dream half-sister to Frankel who was a dual Listed winner over six furlongs.
Joyeuse is also a sister to three-time winner and sire Morpheus but more notably a half-sister to Tattersalls Gold Cup and Champion Stakes hero Noble Mission and Lingfield Derby Trial Stakes winner Bullet Train as well as Frankel.
Joyeuse is the first of two female offspring of Kind, a dual Listed-winning daughter of Danehill, with the mare having produced a Galileo filly – thus a sister to Frankel and Noble Mission – last year.
Joyeuse, meanwhile, also has a two-year-old Dubawi filly named Jovial, a yearling colt by Galileo and a colt foal by the same sire born on March 17.
Quality runs deep in this family, as Kind is a half-sister to Tattersalls Gold Cup and Arlington Million winner Powerscourt, Ribblesdale Stakes victress Riposte and Prix de Barbeville and Grand Prix de Paris second Last Train. Those siblings were produced by the Lancashire Oaks winner Rainbow Lake.
