Peace Envoy adds commercial edge to Worsall Grange roster
The three-year-old was trained by Aidan O'Brien to win a Group 3
Peace Envoy, winner of the Group 3 Anglesey Stakes last year, will take up stallion duties at Worsall Grange Stud in North Yorkshire in 2018, where he will stand at a fee of £2,000.
The son of Power was trained by Aidan O'Brien throughout his 13-race career and won three times, including the Listed Rochestown Stakes and the Group 3 Anglesey Stakes as a juvenile. During that season he also finished third behind Lady Aurelia in the Prix Morny.
Bred by Team Holgada out of the winning Dansili mare Hoh My Darling, Peace Envoy, a €125,000 Arqana October yearling, is a half-brother to the Listed-winning Our Last Summer.
Aaron Anderson, bloodstock manager at Worsall Grange, said: "Peace Envoy showed class on the track, winning himself at two as well as finishing third in a Group 1. He's by Power and he was pure speed which we're hoping will appeal to commercial breeders.
"He's a big strong, stamp of a horse who is very good-looking."
Worsall Grange also had news of the other stallions on its roster with Grade 1 winner Cannock Chase to remain at a fee of £3,000 in 2018, while a decision will be made in the coming weeks whether Dylan Mouth, who the stud purchased earlier in the year, will race on or be retired in preparation for stallion duties.
