Pakistan Star's resurrection the highlight of a dazzling year on the track

The official vote said Beauty Generation. The popular vote said Pakistan Star and the people were, in a sense, right.

Beauty Generation was the best performed horse in Hong Kong in 2017-2018 and was deservedly named Horse of the Year but we all know that Pakistan Star is the most talented horse in the jurisdiction and the equine highlight of the year was his resurrection.

And what of Pakistan Star’s similarly enigmatic - although not quite so given to recalcitrance - and seemingly forgotten stablemate Time Warp? He, soft lead or not, turned in one of the best performances of the year in winning the Hong Kong Cup in December. He trounced the likes of past Horse of the Year Werther and Neorealism, who had beaten Pakistan Star in the AP QEII Cup the year before - not to mention that the now dual Group 1 winner Poet’s Word was five lengths astern in sixth.
