Another well-bred filly heading for the Classics emerged on Friday as Baron LLoyd-Webber's homebred Lah Ti Dar, out of multiple Group 1 winner Dar Re Mi, pulled clear to win impressively on debut in a 1m2f fillies' maiden at Newbury.

The John Gosden-trained three-year-old was kept handy in the early stages as Arendelle set a frenetic pace and soon looked to have a commanding lead over the rest of the field.

Arendelle eventually came back to them and it was left to Lah Ti Dar and Arcadian Cat, a Kitten's Joy filly trained by Ralph Beckett, to vie for victory.

As the race entered its final stages, Lah Ti Dar soon asserted her authority and registered a winning margin of six lengths in a hotly contested maiden that also featured the debut of Snow Fairy's first foal, Belle De Neige, who finished tenth.

Lah Ti Dar has a stellar pedigree as she is by Darley's flagship sire Dubawi out of the Lloyd-Webbers' three-time top-level performer Dar Re Mi and is a sister to Group 3 scorer So Mi Dar and half-sister to Group 3-placed De Treville.

The further family includes outstanding talents Darshaan and Daliapour.

According to Weatherbys, Dar Re Mi has a two-year-old colt by Dubawi, a yearling colt by Dubawi and visited the son of Dubai Millennium again last year.

Lah Ti Dar holds an entry in the Oaks and based on her performance at Newbury and a pedigree packed full of success over 1m4f, she looks a prime candidate for Epsom.

So Mi Dar was intended to run in the contest in 2016 after an impressive victory in the Musidora Stakes but was ruled out by Gosden after she was found to be lame.
