Those in the National Hunt sphere of the bloodstock industry will be keeping a close eye on how the jumps' sire title battle unfolds as Saturday plays out.

The late King's Theatre holds a slender advantage over old rival Flemensfirth going into Saturday and with the pendulum having swung between the two, the title could swing either way.

There's also plenty of Flat action and first-season sires Charm Spirit, Gale Force Ten, Morpheus and War Command bid to get their second careers of the mark.

Final thought

Sevenna Star looks an exciting prospect for all involved with him and if he were to go on to land an elite level contest this year it would extend the reach of his acclaimed sire Redoute's Choice.

Well known for his exploits in his native Australia, the son of Danehill has had a few stakes winners pop up recently suggesting that it won't be long before they make their mark.
