Juddmonte's Arrogate to stand debut season at stud at $75,000

Champion Arrogate has had his fee set by Juddmonte and will stand his first season at the operation's Kentucky farm at $75,000, with his first book restricted to 142 mares.

Trained by Bob Baffert, Arrogate enjoyed a stellar three-year-old season that saw him win five races in a row including the Travers Stakes and the Breeders' Cup Classic. He returned at four this year to land the first running of the Pegasus World Cup before travelling to Meydan where he scooped the Dubai World Cup in emphatic fashion.

The four-year-old son of Unbridled's Song concluded his racing career with a bid to retain his crown in the Breeders' Cup Classic but a below-par effort saw him finish fifth behind Gun Runner.

Garrett O'Rourke, manager of Juddmonte's US operation, said: "Our goal is always to provide the best value to our breeders. We will select the highest quality of mares to offer Arrogate the best chance to be as great a sire as he was a racehorse."
