Battle Of Marengo's first runner and all you need to know for Friday
Battle Of Marengo becomes the latest first-season sire to be represented by a first runner when Pinaclouddown makes his debut in the 5f maiden at Newbury.
Bred by Mattock Stud, Pinaclouddown is out of the King's Best mare Saffa Garden and is from the family of Listed scorer He's A Decoy.
A resident of Ballyhane Stud, Battle Of Marengo was trained by Aidan O'Brien to win five races including the Beresford and Derrinstown Stud Derby Trial Stakes - both Group 2s.
The eight-year-old has 67 juveniles to go to war with this year having covered a book of 119 mares in 2015 at the County Carlow operation.

Final Thought
There's always an expectation when a blueblooded individual makes a first appearance for them to get off the mark straightaway and for Zarkamiya it was amplified with her parents being superstar stallion Frankel and wondermare Zarkava.
At Longchamp on Thursday she lived up to that by winning cosily on her debut and as she holds entries in the Classics, she looks like she could join her older half-brother Zarak in being a leading light for the Aga Khan.
