Some of the finest National Hunt stallions in the UK are set to parade at the Goffs UK sales complex in Doncaster on Tuesday, January 24, and there is also a silent auction with a nomination to all 19 sires.

Available for viewing between 9am and 3pm alongside the Goffs UK January Sale, they include Alne Park Stud's Grade 1-winning sire Ocovango, who is set to embark on his first British season soon, alongside his studmates Dink and Midnights Legacy.

Another recent top-level-winning sire who will be present is Falco, a resident of Nunstainton Stud and whose Tahmuras struck in the Tolworth Hurdle at Sandown last Saturday.

Other standout names include Overbury Stud's new recruit and Derby hero Golden Horn, as well as Shade Oak Stud's trio of Logician, Telescope and Dartmouth, plus Chapel Stud's Planteur, Bangkok and Walzertakt.

A nomination to the stallions which have been nominated to the 2023 Elite National Hunt Mares’ Scheme and those on show at Doncaster have been donated by the stallion owners for a silent auction. This will open on Monday, January 23 and close on Thursday, January 26 at 3pm.

Funds raised from the auction will support the TBA’s National Hunt activities. A link to the auction will be available on the TBA’s social media channels, website and at the event.

TBA chief executive Claire Sheppard said: “This popular event brings together National Hunt breeders from across the country and we welcome anyone interested in becoming involved in the industry, whether as a breeder or as a career path, to view the stallions and meet with the TBA team who will be on hand to discuss any queries or questions.

"We remain thankful to Goffs UK, the participating stallion studs and TBA NH Committee for their ongoing support."
