Cable Bay and Land Force fees hold steady on 2022 Highclere roster

Highclere has announced 2022 stud fees for its stallions Cable Bay and first-crop sire Land Force, with their fees remaining at £8,000 and £5,000 respectively.

Cable Bay, a Group-winning and Group 1-placed son of Invincible Spirit, was unlucky not to add a maiden top-level winner to his CV with Dragon Symbol's demotion in the Commonwealth Cup, but he has still been represented by the likes of Temple Stakes scorer Liberty Beach, Premio Tudini winner Collinsbay plus Listed winners King's Lynn, Atalis Bay and Uncommon James.

Richmond Stakes scorer Land Force, a three-time winning son of No Nay Never, will also remain at his 2021 fee having welcomed his first crop of foals this year.

The five-year-old, a €350,000 purchase by MV Magnier from the 2017 Goffs Orby Sale, covered a large book of mares in his first season at stud.

Highclere's Jake Warren said: “Cable Bay's had another terrific year highlighted by multiple Group 1-performing sprinter Dragon Symbol, he has produced two Group 1 horses from his first two crops and has sired 18 individual Group and stakes horses worldwide to date. His fee remains unchanged at £8,000.

"Land Force has produced some outstanding first foals this year from his first crop of 155 mares, which we are very excited about, so much so that 70 per cent of the 118 mares he covered in his second crop were supplied by breeders that used him in year one.

"His fee remains unchanged at £5,000. Our 50/50 and Euros4Euros terms have been extremely popular and will be on offer again this year.”
