Meteoric rise of Zoustar to continue with ammunition aplenty in both hemispheres

Aisling Crowe probes the Tweenhills sire's credentials in part one of our series

Zoustar's meteoric rise to the highest echelons of southern hemisphere stallions ensured he attracted not just the glare of the media spotlight but high-class books of mares when he began his northern hemisphere career at Tweenhills in 2019.

With that first crop now three and containing a juvenile Group 1 winner - making Zoustar the first of the stallions with their debut European runners in 2022 to sire a top-level scorer - there is substance behind the glittering reputation he brought to Gloucestershire.

A dual Group 1 winner at three, his aura was brightened by an extraordinary first crop that contains four individual Group 1 winners and even this season, when those first runners are now seven, has produced another Group winner to bring the running total to ten.
