I was unfortunately in attendance for a magnificent Dante day at York last week. An impossible afternoon for punters (the Placepot paid over £10,000) meant it was an expensive affair but time spent on the Knavesmire is never anything but enjoyable.

I'd probably side with Eminent at this stage, who was far from disgraced in the 2,000 Guineas and I'm sure he will appreciate the step up in trip at Epsom. However, he is about the price he should be and this is a race that lacks any sort of clarity and not one I want to be getting involved in at this stage.
