Kempton eyecatcher can get the better of market-leaders

It was extremely annoying to see the final decs for Wednesday's races as two runners I have been waiting for after eyecatching efforts last time are lumbered with the outside stall in fields of 14, while another hasn't fared much better in 12.

The two in 14 can’t be put forward as tips, especially as one is a front-runner while the other will require a miracle at Lingfield, and they will hopefully fail to impress before I pile in next time. However, Wordsearch, the third horse, showed more than enough from a wide draw on his latest start to suggest it would not be insurmountable.

Although the handicapper doesn't appear to have taken any chances in dishing out a mark of 75 for this nursery debut, Hugo Palmer's colt has improved with each start and another reasonable step forward is likely to be sufficient for him to overcome it in the 32Red On The App Store Nursery Handicap (6.25) at Kempton.
