Mundersfield
Sixth, 1m2f maiden, Lingfield, Wednesday, December 13
Mundersfield could never get into this contest but she is better than this and is worth bearing in mind now she’s edging towards a low opening handicap mark.
David Simcock’s three-year-old had shown promise when fourth on her debut at Wolverhampton three weeks earlier but the switch to Polytrack didn’t pay off.
Held up towards the rear, she was nudged along two furlongs out but failed to make any impression on the leaders.
Keep the faith, though, because she will leave this form behind in time.

Music Major
Second, 1m2f handicap, Lingfield, Wednesday, December 13
Music Major caught the eye when second in this fair handicap.
Held up in eighth, Michael Attwater’s four-year-old made an effort on the inside but couldn’t secure a clear passage and was snatched up well over a furlong out.
Ridden, he ran on well inside the final furlong and wasn’t beaten far by the well-fancied Bayston Hill.

Satchville Flyer
Third, 1m handicap, Wolverhampton, Wednesday, December 13
Satchville Flyer was understandably easy to back as he was returning from a two-month absence and was drawn in stall eight, forcing him to race wide throughout, so he deserves credit for finishing a close third.
Held up, David Evans’ six-year-old made headway on the outside from over two furlongs out to be beaten less than a length and could be winning soon.
