Wetherby Placepot picks: Paul Kealy has a pair of bankers in his Friday perm

The Dan Skelton-trained Unexpected Party could well have got in lightly for his handicap debut in Wetherby's opener (12.55) and should be worth banking on.

He's shown a fair amount in just two hurdles outings over 2m but is bred to appreciate this extra distance and won't have to improve much for to be better than these.

Division two of this handicap (1.30) looks a lot trickier but Flexi Furlough ran solid races on her last two outings, while Be The Difference is not badly treated on the pick of his form and will appreciate the forecast overnight rain.

The exciting Ahoy Senor should also line up in the following novice chase (2.05) if the rain arrives and be too good for his rivals, but he obviously needs to show he can jump.

Both Barbados Buck's and Ashtown Lad are useful, so we'll add the latter, a course winner, as back-up because banking in novice chases can be nerve-racking.

Blakeney Point ought to go well in the next (2.40) but it's easy to envisage Restandbethankful stripping fitter for his reappearance in a better race at Chepstow, so he goes in too.

Some decent juveniles have run in the Listed event (3.15) next on the card (Sceau Royal and Countrywide Flame were beaten in it) and the form of Porticello's win in France has worked out really well, not least with the second dotting up for Paul Nicholls at Chepstow this month.

He's the one to beat, while the filly Addosh can run well after showing improved form at Marken Rasen last time.

Finally, I'll take a chance by banking on Good Boy Bobby in the final leg (3.50) as he's thrown in on his best form and goes well fresh.
