Well-treated Sakhee's City forms part of Richard Birch's Wetherby placepot

Mont Segur didn’t impress when runner-up to No Risk Des Flos at Uttoxeter. However, he possesses by far the best form in the race and it’s hard not to include him in leg one (12.30) of the Wetherby Placepot.

Dharan, who travelled strongly for a long way at Ayr in November, remains unexposed and is open to further improvement.

Pink Legend must concede 6lb to all three rivals in leg two (1.00), but is the most likely to run her race and could prove up to the task.

Rockstar Ronnie, a £78,000 purchase earlier this winter, has been found a good starting point by Dan Skelton in leg three (1.30), a race in which useful chaser Domaine De L’Isle is also likely to go well.

Skelton’s Eclair D’Ainay was hugely impressive on his first venture over fences at Chepstow and rates banker material in leg four (2.05) despite a 14lb weights rise.

Sakhee’s City, a well-handicapped hurdler nowadays, very much takes the eye in leg five (2.35) along with the Jonjo O’Neill-trained Uttoxeter runner-up Pop The Cork.

Smiths Cross, another on a favourable mark, should make a bold bid in leg six (3.10), where hat-trick-seeking Ecossais is also of interest off his low weight.
