Well regarded by trainer Charlie Hills and made a promising debut when sixth on the all-weather at Lingfield last month. Balestra travelled strongly but ran green and wide off the home bend before finishing well. The runner-up was beaten at odds-on next time, but this track should suit and sire Bated Breath's progeny often act on easy going.
