Wednesday tipping: our experts give their best bets of the day
Newmarket: David Milnes
Turgenev (2.45 Epsom, nap)
The son of Dubawi got a bit bogged down on soft ground at Newbury on his reappearance but is better than that and should appreciate this better ground.
Others to follow
Epsom: 2.10 Shamshon, 3.20 Maybe Today, 3.55 Crossed Baton, 4.25 Casanova, 5.00 Balladeer.
North: Colin Russell
Bay Of Naples (5.00 Epsom, nap)
Lightly raced three-year-old who won twice over seven furlongs on the all-weather in February. Step up in distance will suit and expected to give another good account on turf.
Others to follow
Epsom: 2.10 Midnight Malibu, 2.45 Arthur Kitt, 3.20 Fire Fighting, 3.55 Mildenberger.
Perth: 2.25 Peters Cousin, 4.05 Top Billing, 4.35 Blakerigg, 5.10 Ted Veale.
Southwell: 6.20 Nomean Lion, 7.20 Just Call Me Al, 7.50 Lord Roccoco.
Lambourn: James Burn
Not So Sleepy (3.20 Epsom, nap)
Seven-year-old is a character and needs things to fall right, but has some sound course form and has done okay over hurdles this year. He looks on a decent Flat mark and Ryan Moore rides, but quick ground is a slight worry.
Others to follow
Epsom: 2.45 Cap Francais, 3.55 What About Carlo, 4.25 Le Don De Vie, 5.00 Multamis.
Fontwell: 2.00 Double Treasure.
Perth: 3.00 Captain Tommy.
Southwell: 4.45 Little Windmill, 5.50 Cervaro Mix, 6.20 Sackett, 6.50 Milarville, 7.20 Bodes Well, 7.50 Symphony Hall.
West Country: Tim Mitchell
Master Tradesman (6.30 Taunton, nap)
Has been largely disappointing this season but has dropped to a very handy mark and this looks winnable if recapturing his past form.
Others to follow
Fontwell: 1.30 Polo The Mumm, 3.10 Tikkinthebox, 3.45 Risk And Roll, 4.15 Waitinonasunday, 4.50 Milkwood.
Perth: 2.25 Queen's Magic, 3.00 Eur Gone West, 3.30 Walt, 4.35 Soupy Soups.
Southwell: 6.20 Point N Shoot.
Taunton: 5.30 Powerfil Society, 6.00 Umndeni, 7.00 Spirit Of Rome, 7.30 Moayadd, 8.00 Dromineer.
Racing Post Ratings: Paul Curtis
Golden Jeffrey (5.10 Perth)
Below form twice since returning from a break, but is a course-and-distance winner who would take all the beating if back on song today.
Topspeed: Dave Edwards
Duke Of Firenze (2.10 Epsom)
Drew a blank last season but has plummeted down the weights and this course-and-distance winner can end his drought.
Longshot: David Revers
Duke Of Firenze (2.10 Epsom)
The veteran is worth chancing judged on his course-and-distance form, having previously won here off a 13lb higher mark. He looks overpriced to spring back to life today.
Ireland: Tony O'Hehir
Arabeska (8.10 Dundalk)
The daughter of Bated Breath showed promise on her only start last season and can score for Willie McCreery and Billy Lee.
The Raceform Interactive nugget
Amanda Perrett's four runners at Epsom since August last year have produced three wins, for a £1 level-stakes profit of £10.50. She's won with two of the last four runners having their first run after a switch to her yard (+£25) and she has Mazzuri, an Irish import, in the 1m2f handicap at Epsom at 3.55.
