Walk in the Park marks Clemmie as the season’s top two-year-old

With a number of juvenile Group races at Newmarket and Chantilly last week, there was bound to be a shuffling of the two-year-old pack and, after the dust had settled, Clemmie had shot to the top of the tree with her clearcut success in the Juddmonte Cheveley Park Stakes.

On good to soft ground, Aidan O’Brien’s filly was only 2.20sec slower than the 6f benchmark at Headquarters and, after applying Topspeed methodology, she emerged with a rating of 111, the best on the card and currently the best of any juvenile this season.

Always travelling well, the Ballydoyle youngster was well on top at the end and clocked a time 0.44sec faster than stablemate US Navy Flag (103), who landed the Juddmonte Middle Park over course and distance 35 minutes later.
