Verse gets up late to deny Perfect backers

>>Pretty Perfect touched 1.07 in running on Betfair when kicking clear in the DFS Park Hill Stakes at Doncaster, but the 13-2 chance tired and was caught on the line by proven stayer Simple Verse.

The winner was strong in the market and went off 3-1 second favourite after opening at 7-2, having been available at a morning price of 5-1. She was matched at 50 on her way to victory.
