Veil Of Stars can continue on upward curve on Polytrack

As a fast-improving filly who has adapted well to Polytrack, Veil Of Stars is a viable betting proposition in an interesting rated race (6.00) at Dundalk. Two other recent course winners, Hes Our Music and Miracle Ninetynine, are also likely to attract support, but the three-year-old ought to have more potential for improvement than those older rivals.

Veil Of Stars started off with Dick Brabazon on the Curragh. Brabazon does not have a great many runners but is widely respected for the individual care and attention he provides, often in a pre-training role. He adopted a patient approach with this filly, who was having only her third outing when winning a claimer at Dundalk early last month.

She joined Tony Mullins after that and clearly settled in well, since it was only three weeks later that she returned to Dundalk to make a winning handicap debut. She was raised 10lb for that and her revised mark of 75 does not by any means guarantee success in a race such as this, but it is not unreasonable to expect further progress.
