Todd Pletcher's phenomenal start to the Gulfstream Park winter meet continued last week when five of his eight runners at the Hallandale Beach circuit entered the winner's circle, including a pair of impressive first-time starters.

The Hall of Fame trainer makes hay at Gulfstream at this time of year and he is expected to enhance his impressive 55 per cent strike-rate whenFearless lines up in the $150,000 Grade 3 Harlan's Holiday Stakes (8.59).

A four-time winner who landed the Grade 2 Gulfstream Park Mile here in February, Fearless has had a stop-start career and arguably should have won on his return from a six-month layoff in a handicap here last month. He came up short in the straight, but hit the line powerfully and is now upped in trip.

Luis Saez, who is the best rider currently taking mounts at Gulfstream, takes over from Paco Lopez and he should have an ideal pace setup with Mighty Heart and Blue Steel likely to go forward.

You won't get a huge price about this five-year-old, purely because he's the best horse in the race. The Morning Line quoted him at 8-5, but I think he'll be odds-on when they jump.

This year's running of the $200,000 Grade 2 Fort Lauderdale Stakes (9.32 Gulfstream) is wide open. Space Traveller, who was formerly trained on these shores, is interesting from a wide gate. But he'll have to rely on a pace collapse if he is to catch Analyze It.

Runner-up in the Belmont Derby and Secretariat Stakes before taking third in the Breeders' Cup Mile in 2018, Analyze It has always promised plenty but has had his fair share of injury problems.

After a couple of disappointing efforts to kickstart this campaign, Analyze It seems to have returned to something like his best, and he barely came off the bridle to win an allowance optional claimer at Belmont last time out.

Rafa Hernandez looks sure to utilise his early speed and, providing King Guillermo doesn't rough him up, Analyze It is fancied to hold on.
