While construction work takes place at Belmont Park, all racing scheduled there will continue to be held at Aqueduct and a valuable card takes place at the 'Big A', with the highlight being the Ashley T Cole Stakes over 1m1f on the turf.

This valuable $125,000 event for horses bred in New York State features some reliable performers, including City Man and Cross Border, but the James Ferraro-trained Sanctuary City has some solid form here and can take this.

He won a hotly contested allowance optional claiming contest over a mile here last season and has won twice over 1m½f, so this extra half-furlong should be well within his compass.

As he's getting older he is shaping as though he needs this distance, and last time out he got up on the line to win an allowance at Saratoga over a trip just 110 yards shy of this.

The in-form Manuel Franco takes the ride and he will play a waiting game at the rear before bursting through with a run in deep stretch.

There is plenty of value to be had in this competitive allowance, with the money likely to be for some of the more unexposed types at the head of the market.

However, the Todd Pletcher-trained Al's Rocket has been improving nicely this season and can hit the board at double-figure odds.

His speed figures have been improving with each run and broke his maiden tag in comfortable fashion at the sixth attempt two starts back.

He was beaten just over a length when finishing fourth in a very good allowance optional claimer at Saratoga last time and with a similar effort he will go well in this.
