Unlucky Tintern Theatre looks a class act in the making
James Pyman's ones to watch
Bright New Dawn
Trainer: Venetia Williams
6th, Cheltenham, November 17
The ten-year-old looked a bit rusty on this first start since falling at the first in last season’s Topham Chase and can step up from this. He produced a clean round of jumping and showed enough to suggest he retains a big engine. Rated as high as 150 at one stage, he has dropped to an interesting mark. He acts on soft ground and is a horse to follow this winter.

Tintern Theatre
Nigel Twiston-Davies
4th, Cheltenham, November 17
The six-year-old may have won this 3m1f handicap chase had he not been badly hampered turning for home when making eyecatching headway. He had a lot of work to do two out but made relentless progress and was beaten only a length. This was just his third chase start and he improved for the longer trip. He is a staying chaser with a bright future.

Le Prezien
Paul Nicholls
3rd, Cheltenham, November 18
This second-season chaser has now posted two excellent efforts in competitive handicaps this season without getting his head in front. He will be hit with another rise in the weights for not winning, but he fared the best of the horses who were held up off the pace and should be competitive next time in similar company. When chasers from this stable are on the up they often show marked progress and if he can improve a stone between now and the spring he could develop into a contender for the Ryanair Chase.
