Hector Crouch in fine form in last fortnight 3.30 Nottingham

Gary Moore has made good use of the jockey's 5lb claim with Crouch riding three winners for the trainer from his last nine rides.

However, it is interesting Ralph Beckett has booked Crouch for Desdichado (3.30), his only ride at Nottingham before he travels down to Kempton to partner Lilly Bonbon for Moore.

Desdichado has his first run at 1m2f since his maiden success at Ffos Las 13 months ago having been campaigned over further and the drop back in trip could see a return to winning ways. The son of Pivotal was beaten just a neck off this mark over 1m6f in April and it could pay to ignore his last run when a beaten favourite when switched to the all-weather last time out.
