>>True Self looked like bolting up when hitting the front in the bumper at Warwick and she was matched at 1.01 on Betfair (£1,083 traded at the basement price), but she hung all over the place in the home straight, allowing Shearling (220) to collar her close home.

>>Wee Small Hours was backed down to 1.02 when brought with what looked a winning challenge in the second division of the 2m4f handicap hurdle at Fairyhouse, but he found less than expected and Kilkeaskins First was going away at the finish after trading at 120.

>>It looked as though they had set off too fast in the 1m2f handicap at Kempton, so it was a surprise to see Choral Clan, who was always up there, backed down to 1.02. He tied up in the final furlong and was passed by The Salmon Man and winner Solveig's Song (210).
