1pt each-wayThe heavy hitters of the weighing room are in Hong Kong on Wednesday for an International Jockeys' Championship which pitches local legends Joao Moreira and Zac Purton against Ryan Moore, Hugh Bowman, Silvestre De Sousa and Pierre-Charles Boudot.

French champ Boudot has a strong book for his Happy Valley debut –and the early 15-2 to win the championship in one of Hong Kong's few fixed-odds markets didn't last long – but patient punters could find Rickfield worth waiting for at around 5-1 in the Brazil Handicap (2.50).

South African handler Tony Millard coaxed two impressive course-and-distance successes from this ex-French gelding last season and Rickfield has been brought along steadily this term with three never-nearer runs at Sha Tin.

The ex-Irish Dinozzo won the race he finished fifth in on his latest start last month and is bound to be popular again under Moreira, but Rickfield is 7lb better off this time.

More importantly, Rickfield is likely to get the strong pace that suits him ideally on his return to the Valley and that can make him a danger to all under Alexis Badel as the party people in the Valley beer garden reach full voice.

Every punter faces a ticklish question when a horse who has let them down in a couple of nip-and-tuck finishes turns up again with conditions to suit.

Step forward the freewheeling Gobi Storm, who could be dangerous if he gets a soft lead in the opener (10.30), but it might just pay to stick with the popular Millard again when Super Form lines up for the final round of the jockeys' challenge at 2.10.

Stylish Italian rider Cristian Demuro is aboard this gelding, who has been a model of consistency in recent months.

Moore and Boudot supply two big dangers in Flying Quest and Bank On Red, but Super Form did very well to go down narrowly in a steadily-run race last time and he's still nicely treated having been raised just 2lb for that.
