Chepstow Placepot picks: Tom Segal with three bankers in his perm

Willie Mullins stole most of the training headlines at Cheltenham but given her relative lack of firepower, Venetia Williams did even better with ten of her 11 runners finishing in the first six.

She runs Bellatrixsa in the Kenneth Cox Memorial Mares' Handicap Hurdle (4.10) and back up in trip, she will be hard to keep out of the frame.

Another Cheltenham Festival-winning trainer, Harry Fry, saddles Whitehotchillifili and she looks the danger. With only five runners, both need to go in any perm.

The hardest Placepot leg to get through will probably be the last one (4.45) because nothing in the race is convincing. Perhaps another Cheltenham winner, Evan Williams, can go close with The Boat, who has been running well over this sort of trip on soft ground.

The Boat is relatively unexposed in the context of this race but he's no great shakes and it's worth including Hang Tough as well. The latter has been struggling over further of late but has dropped back to a good mark as a result.

Tile Tapper is a strong fancy (3.35) after his easy win over course and distance last time but it is a novice chase and for safety, it might be worth sticking Yes Indeed in too.

The other three races look more straightforward and Autonomous Cloud should have no trouble hitting the frame in the opening Invades Races Day Party El Classico Novices' Hurdle (2.00).

It was a toss up between the two recent course winner Gats And Co and Mr Katanga in the Join Our Bet Club At vickers.bet Handicap Chase (2.30). Gats And Co might just have won the stronger race last time, while Mr Katanga went up a stone for winning by miles.

Finally, Scipion looks a class above his rivals in the maiden hurdle (3.05).
