Next year the three-year-olds won't be quite so well treated in the staying handicaps as they are at present and if you look through the history of the Tote Irish Cesarewitch at the Curragh (4.55), it is pretty easy to see why the powers thought the younger horses had an unfair advantage.

Over the last 8 years three-year-olds have won 50 per cent of the time from only a handful of runners and the rapidly improving Laws Of Spin looks well worth backing at 12-1 to continue that trend.

We all know that Willie Mullins is just about the best jumps trainer around but he is a dab hand at training staying horses on the Flat too, as he has shown any number of times in recent seasons. Mullins has twice won this race and in Laws Of Spin, he looks to have the perfect horse for the race.
