Tom Collins analyses the credentials of three favourites in the US

Karate Hottie
8.45 Will Rogers Downs
SP forecast 2-1

Improving filly who has recorded form figures of 2312211 (the last three at Will Rogers Downs) this year and looks to be improving at a rate of knots. Represents top connections and should be able to make every yard of the running again with just one other pace angle in opposition.

Conclusion Can record another victory at the expense of the prolific Mulberry.

Kipper
9.15 Will Rogers Downs
SP forecast 5-2

Six-year-old gelding who is still looking for his first win and tackles a field full of horses half his age. He has only had five starts, though, so remains unexposed on his return from a year-and-a-half layoff. Obviously had some problems but his 2018 form is by far the best on offer here.

Conclusion Recent works have been good but his price is too short given his setback.

Stephen's Answer
11.15 Will Rogers Downs
SP forecast 5-2

Prolific winner who recorded eight victories in 2019 but is yet to get off the mark after three starts this year. Stephen's Answer has finished runner-up on his last two outings here, showing pace both times but not being able to sustain his run in the straight. Looks likely to duel on the front end.

Conclusion Plenty of early speed in opposition and will do well to hang on. Lay.
