Three shorties it might pay to oppose
Only four, but long been well regarded and sent off at odds-on for the Goffs Land Rover Bumper at Punchestown on second start in April. Half-length second there was still commendable and off the mark on hurdles debut when scoring by five lengths at Newbury. That form is working out well, but Jenkins’ jumping left a lot to be desired at times and he looked in trouble at various stages (third traded at 1-3 in running).
Conclusion Obviously potentially high class, but not convinced this sharp 2m is for him, especially if jumping hasn’t improved. Has some interesting rivals, too, including two who were once 100-plus on the Flat. Lay at likely very short odds.
