Third Time Lucky looks worth another chance

Third Time Luckyhas a good strike-rate with four wins from just ten outings in handicaps and he has been running well in defeat on ground that would have been faster than ideal this season.

He found good to firm going unsuitable when beaten only a length and three-quarters in fifth in a mile handicap at York in August and it was a similar story for his repeat bid in the Cambridgeshire at Newmarket last time, yet he still finished well into fourth after finding trouble in running.

Adam McNamara is excellent value for his 5lb claim and, while the ground has dried, it has been on the soft side all week and won't be anywhere near as quick as it has been for his last two runs. There could be further improvement to come and he rates a solid back up to the paper tip from a higher draw in stall 21.
