The Punt Daily: Tom Collins with two to follow on Wednesday

BANKER

Sword Exceed(1.10 Lingfield)

Trainer Ivan Furtado has a 33 per cent strike-rate over the last fortnight and that just boosts my confidence ahead of Sword Exceed's hopeful return to form after an eighth-placed finish last time. Winless since January, Sword Exceed was well fancied at the end of last month over a furlong shorter but was forced wide off the home bend and lost all chance in the process. Allowed to run off the same mark, this four-year-old rates a good betting opportunity at the likely odds, especially with a good draw.

GOOD THING

(6.45 Kempton)

This eight-year-old boasts a good record on the all-weather with seven victories and a further 11 places from 31 starts and he's set for another good winter at Kempton off his reduced mark of 80. Kim Bailey's charge landed this race last year off 5lb higher, which makes him well handicapped for his repeat bid, and his recent third-placed effort here suggests he's ready to strike again. He's probably going to be short in the market but he's worth including in multiples.
