Damian English: is worried about what the future holds for training on the beach

EACH-WAY PLAY

See Of Rome(2.30 Naas)

There are quite a few in-form horses in this 1m2f handicap, but it could pay to stick with the Damian English-trained See Of Rome, who ended a long run of disappointing efforts when hacking up over this course and distance last month on just his fourth run for the trainer. He has gone up 9lb in the weights for that romp, but the booking of Andrew Slattery negates 5lb of that penalty and he is still well treated on his backform when with Richard Hughes.

EYECATCHER

Oighear Dubh(3.15 Cork)

Extremely consistent handicap chaser who has been unlucky not to record a few more victories this summer/autumn. Placed seven times in his last nine starts, Oighear Dubh travelled like a dream when last seen in a 3m1f handicap chase at Cheltenham last weekend and looked all over the winner on the run-in when crashing through the tape and unseating his jockey. He's running off just 1lb higher here, has a more experienced pilot and just has to prove his stamina over this stamina-sapping 3m4f. He should go close.
