The Punt Daily: Tom Collins with two to follow on Sunday
BANKER
Mengli Khan (1.00 Fairyhouse)
Seven crack novices run in this year's Grade 1 Royal Bond and Gordon Elliott seems hopeful that the former Flat handicapper Mengli Khan can rack up the hat-trick over hurdles this year with a victory under Jack Kennedy. The current favourite for the Supreme at Cheltenham, Mengli Khan has won with his head in his chest on both starts this campaign including when destroying the useful Stratum in a Grade 3 last time out. His jumping is superb and he has the most pace of any of these.
EYECATCHER
Meri Devie (2.05 Fairyhouse)
An ultra competitive 2m handicap hurdle can go the way of the classy Meri Devie, who drops into handicap company for the first time having been campaigned in Graded races. The four-year-old filly was placed in the Grade 1 Champion Four-Year-Old Hurdle back in the spring and proved she maintained her ability when finishing second in the Fishery Lane on her comeback last month. There's definitely room for improvement off her mark of 136 and a hood has been added to stop her running keenly.
