BANKER

Tidal Flow(5.30 Wincanton)

Brocade Racing, Colin Tizzard and Richard Johnson seem to have another good one in the ranks in Tidal Flow, who won a Newbury bumper on his debut in November. He won very impressively that day by five lengths, beating a subsequent two-time winner who is now rated 130, and there is surely more to come from this attractive sort. Two miles is definitely his minimum trip and he'll be doing all his best work at the finish, but his class should get him through and he looks an exciting prospect for next year.

EYECATCHER

Mary Tudor(4.15 Navan)

Aidan O'Brien's Sizzling and Bye Bye Baby will be well fancied but his horses have been needing the run so far this season and he's not really firing on all cylinders yet. My eye was drawn to the Dermot Weld-trained newcomer Hazel Bay, and I wouldn't put you off her, but Mary Tudor has the most solid form in the race aside from the O'Brien pair and is worth a go on her reappearance. She is still a maiden after three starts, but ran into Magical on her first two appearances and only finished fourth when sent off the 15-8 favourite in the Group 3 Park Stakes. She's upped in trip to 1m2f today, which should suit, and the first-time hood will keep her mind on the job.
