The Punt Daily: Tom Collins with two to follow on Saturday

Kevin Ryan: was forced to shut down his yard for a time in the summer
Kevin Ryan: trainer of Jungle Room

BANKER

Jungle Room(5.35 Nottingham)

Kevin Ryan's three-year-old son of Violence looks a horse to follow this year following a demolition job on his handicap debut over seven furlongs last time out. That was his first go at the trip and he cleared away from a decent field in the style of a horse well above his mark. He's 9lb higher today but that's certainly justified and more improvement can be expected over the tougher test of an extended mile. He still manages to sneak into Class 5 company and will undoubtedly be competing in much better races come the end of the season.

GOOD THING

So Beloved (4.20 Haydock)

David O'Meara's reliable eight-year-old makes his third appearance in the Listed Spring Trophy (form figures 13) and has a good chance of adding another victory to his name. Despite his advancing years, So Beloved has shown no signs of declining performances and, if anything, proved he is right back to his best with a creditable second on his reappearance at Thirsk last month. He bumped into the race-fit Kimberella on that occasion, but was two length clear of the third who has since filled the same berth at Chester's May meeting. Fast ground will help his chance and it'll be disappointing if he didn't win.
