The Punt Daily: Tom Collins with two to follow on Monday

Richard Fahey: 'If it wasn’t for 48-hour decs I reckon our number of 48 non-runners could be less than 20'

BANKER

Copal(6.10 Kempton)

Well-regarded colt who was heavily backed on debut at Salisbury earlier this month, but showed too much inexperience to do himself justice. He did, however, catch the eye in behind as he stayed on into sixth and is sure to have come on a lot for that effort. This looks an above average contest but I'd be shocked if Copal wasn't bang there at the finish for Ralph Beckett, who does well with his juveniles here.

GOOD THING

Crownthorpe(4.10 Windsor)

Crownthorpe has only won two of 18 starts, but has run consistently well in competitive handicaps this year and is overdue a victory, especially given how close he went at Haydock three days ago. Beaten a nose that day despite trading at 1.01 in the run, Crownthorpe has shown a clear love for soft ground (form figures of 22312 on ground described as soft or worse) and he gets his ideal conditions again here. He's allowed to run off the same mark as last time out and has to go close.
