BANKER

Lalor(12.10 Cheltenham)

Davy Russell has just one ride at Cheltenham on Friday and that is aboard the Richard Woollacott-trained Lalor, who bids to make it third-time lucky over hurdles in the opener. He looked a really nice gelding last year when winning three of four bumpers, including at Grade 2 level, but has found two Harry Fry inmates too good over hurdles this year. He hit a flat spot before staying on very well in the closing stages at Exeter on his seasonal reappearance before looking the winner in a good Ascot race last month but for making a bad mistake at the last. This is another good race but he should go close.

EYECATCHER

Bahamian Heights (7.45 Chelmsford)

I tipped this Robert Cowell-trained sprinter when he found the winner's enclosure over a furlong shorter at this course a week ago and he should follow up off just 1lb higher. He was given a fantastic ride on that occasion by 7lb claimer Jonathan Fisher, who's on board again, and the step up to 6f can only be viewed as a positive. With a good pace to race at, he should come home with a late charge to land the spoils.
