The Punt Daily: Tom Collins with two to follow on Friday
BANKER
Star Ascending(3.30 Southwell)
Jennie Candlish's five-year-old absolutely loves the Fibresand at Southwell, finishing in the first three on six occasions from 11 starts. He came back after a short break to land a handicap over this course and distance two starts back before just running out of racetrack when narrowly going down off 5lb higher a week ago. Rossa Ryan, who partners him today, is in great form and he should return to winning ways.
IRISH ANGLE
Mind's Eye(3.05 Leopardstown)
Gigginstown had a huge day on Thursday that included a 1-2-3-5-6 in the feature Leopardstown Christmas Chase (formerly the Lexus) and they can enter the winner's enclosure once more with this lightly-raced hurdler. He hasn't finished outside the first two in five career starts and bumped into some useful opponents in maiden hurdles, including Samcro. Given an easier task last time out, he took apart a big field and has been left with a pretty lenient mark for his handicap debut.
