The Punt Daily: Tom Collins with three to follow on Wednesday

Next Destination: should suit a step up in trip in the Grade 1 Irish Daily Mirror Novice Hurdle
Next Destination: will love the 3m tripCredit: Caroline Norris

BIG-RACE BANKER

Next Destination(4.55 Punchestown)

Smart bumper horse this time last year and has built on that this season by winning three of his four starts over hurdles, including the Grade 1 Lawlor Novices' Hurdle at Naas in January. Seems to go on any type of ground – provided it's not rattling fast – and looked like he'd relish this 3m trip when a fast-finishing third in the Ballymore at the Cheltenham festival. He's the classiest sort in this race and I think he should be shorter than the forecast 15-8.

EYECATCHER

Faadhel(5.00 Epsom)

Warburton and Christopher Wood will no doubt be fancied and both could be well ahead of their marks, but Faadhel looks a potential improver for Roger Varian and Andrea Atzeni and is worth a punt off bottom weight. Carrying just 9st, the son of Maxios will appreciate this step up to an extended mile following two eyecatching runs over seven furlongs at Wolverhampton this year. He was unlucky in the run on his seasonal reappearance and can definitely be marked up for that effort, while he bumped into the useful Jungle Room with the front two clear last time out. He's undoubtedly well handicapped off 73 and the return to turf is a plus.

GOOD THING

Colreevy(7.15 Punchestown)

For a Grade 3 affair, this bumper is pretty weak and Willie and Patrick Mullins can team up to win the closer on Wednesday with Colreevy. The father/son combination took this race two years ago with the useful Augusta Kate and just fell short when second in the race last year, but Colreevy looks likely to get them back into the winner's circle following a decent run at Cheltenham. The fifth string of five Mullins runners on that occasion and sent off at 50-1, Colreevy ran a screamer to finish seventh and may well have finished closer to the leaders had he been given a more aggressive ride. He holds Tintangle on Leopardstown form, which has worked out extremely well.
